The wall is the second thing that speaks loud about the theme of the room. The first thing is obviously good bedding. So, before you plunge into the task of painting your wall with zebra prints, think twice. Whatever decoration you may have done inside the room, everything is a waste if the wall is ugly or mismatching to the theme.
For spacious rooms, forget everything and jump to the next heading to start painting!

If you are doing it for the first time, better do the zebra art on one focal wall so that you get enough time to concentrate.
Prepare the wall to paint by taking off any wall hanging or clock.
Sand the wall well using a good quality sand paper.
Prime the wall with a white primer. Don’t compromise on the primer quality as a bad quality primer can spoil your work. Let it dry for 24 hours.
Give the wall one more coating of white latex satin finish paint and let it dry for another day.
Mark the center of the wall using a measuring tape. Place the stencil on the center and mark out the zebra pattern using a stabile pencil. The pencil is specially used for such purposes and it will be available in painting supplies stores. You can also use washable markers preferably in yellow color. They black paint will cover them. The marker can be easily wiped off with a damp cloth in case you go wrong.
Once you have repeated the zebra pattern on the whole of the wall, start painting the black areas with latex satin finish paints. You can use any good wall paint for this purpose.
For the brushes, use a 1″ wide brush for the edges. The brush should narrow down to a point when needed. Use another 2″ wide brush for the body of the stripes. The stripes need not be always black. If your bedding is pink and white zebra bedding, use pink for the walls.

Method 2:

Choose a good zebra print online.
Take it to a place like Staples where they can convert the image into a transparent OHP sheet.
If you can rent a projector, place the OHP sheet on the projector, project it on your focal wall and trace out the image of the stripes.

Method 3:

Prepare your wall using the steps mentioned above.
Buy artists tapes from crafts shop. Cut it according to the shape of the stripes and stick them on the wall leaving the areas which you have to paint.
Now that only the areas that you have to paint remains, paint them completely.
You don’t have to be too conscious in this method because, even if your brush crosses the edges, you will only be painting on the painter’s stripes which you can peel off easily later.

Tip to get your zebra art perfect on the wall

Practice your stripe design on a graph paper first. In the graph paper, draw a space equivalent to the space on the wall. For example, if your wall is 5′
tall and 10′ wide, then on your graph paper, you can draw your wall as 10 squares high and 20 squares wide. Each feet on your wall will be represented by 2 squares on the graph sheet.
